The ninth season of Big Brother Naija is coming with exciting twists. From the season centering on dynamic pairings to the introduction of a new Fave Lock-In system that allows viewers to win millions by correctly predicting winners in different aspects of the show, BBNaija season 9 might just be the best season yet.
At the media briefing that was held in Lagos, the Executive Head of Marketing, West Africa, MultiChoice, Tope Oshunkeye, revealed that this year, viewers stood the chance to win N1 million each for making correct predictions in the Fave Lock-In aspect of the game.
“Since 2020, BBNaija has been giving out 30 million each year to fans that Lock In – You can either lock in the winner or the top three finale contestants – and in the last four years we’ve given out about N120 million. This year is different, we are not asking you to lock in who is going to win but predict who will win the immunity challenge,” he said.
With the possibility of more giveaways to fans this year, the Executive Head of Marketing disclosed that the brand new MyDStv application will ensure that fans of the show stay ahead as the voting for the new season will take place on the application.
He added: “There’s a new My DStv app. All the action around Big Brother, DStv self-service, being in control, and staying ahead will all be available on the brand-new application. Also, voting for Big Brother will take place there.”
Beyond what it offers fans of the show, the application revolutionises how DStv users interact with DStv’s self-services with new features that ensure easy payment, personalised offers, and many more. The old application will be phased out before the premiere of BBNaija Season 9, and DStv users will be required to download the new application before Sunday, July 28.
The season premiere is set for Sunday, July 28, 2024, across all Africa Magic channels, after which viewers can follow all the drama and excitement on DStv Channel 198 and GOtv Channel 49. You can also join the conversation using the hashtag #BBNaijaS9 on social media.
